This one-day seminar introduces the concepts and tools that help you assist young people as they transition to adulthood with clarity and confidence.

In this workshop you will learn the fundamental skills needed to help young people reflect on their life journey and move forward with confidence. The primary tool presented is a planning model - a framework that contains the basic elements of any rite of initiation. Participants practice creating curriculum plans for coming-of-age programs to be used in their own community. They also take home a 100-page resource manual, which includes an extensive bibliography.

Seminar leaders have many years of experience in facilitating rites of passage and training people to lead them. Many are graduates of Journeys programs and can speak from their own experiences of being mentored and mentoring others.

This course is offered in conjunction with Skills of Mentoring and How the Earth Mentors (usually taught as part of the Coming of Age Leadership series).
