Awakening the Sage within
AGE-ING TO SAGE-ING
ONLINE WEBINAR FORMAT
Ages 18+ | January 10, 11 & 18th, 2026, 10am-1pm PST
Today, most people approaching elderhood can expect to live another 20-30 years.
How do you want to live those years?
Sage-ing (also known as Spiritual Eldering or Conscious Aging) is a model for engaging the elder years more deliberately, more joyfully, and more compassionately. Sage-ing can help us to develop a balanced plan for eldering that is personally fulfilling and also beneficial to others.
Awakening the Sage Within (ASW) is a highly interactive entry-level event, introducing Sage-ing International (SI) core topics:
Images of aging
Life review
Forgiveness
Mortality
Spirituality
Legacy-leaving
Service
Led by Sage-ing International certified instructors Randy Morris and Janey Talbot, this course teaches ways of being together in community as a wisdom circle. Awakening the Sage Within is an excellent introduction to Sage-ing concepts, and serves as a prerequisite to SI's Certified Sage-ing Leader training program.
We will do our online interaction in manageable 3 hour sessions, one each day for three days. The workshop is designed with individual activities, readings, and practices offered for participants to engage with in between these Zoom sessions. As we explore this powerful approach to elderhood, we encourage participants to make arrangements to be supported, and also undisturbed, for each of these sessions.
